¡Hola! My name is Inés and I'm your fiendly neighbourhood 𝖲̶𝗉̶𝗂̶𝖽̶𝖾̶𝗋̶-̶𝖬̶𝖺̶𝗇̶ English and Japanese to European Spanish translator! 📝I studied Translation and Interpreting (University of Salamanca) and graduated with honors. During my time as an undergraduate student, I worked as an audiovisual translator (EN>ES) and as an educational documents’ translator (JA>ES). In 2022 I studied for a year at Tokyo’s Kokugakuin University as a JASSO scholarship recipient, and two years later, I went back to Japan to improve my Japanese language skills. 🌉Those two years living in Japan boosted an opinion I already know I had inside of my head: building bridges between cultures is the most beautiful thing in the world. I became even more obsessed than I was with Japanese culture (if that’s even possible) and I lived firsthand how crucial it is to translate cultures, not just words. This love for cultural differences underlies every project I participate in—and ensures I have a blast with every single localization, cultural adaptation and transcreation challenge I must tackle. 🌸 I currently offer mainly audiovisual, literary and video games translation and localization services. In addition, I can also review, proofread and carry out your text’s QA.
