Merge TMX files

Combine translation memories from different clients, projects or CAT tools into a single TMX. Duplicates are removed and every unit is copied exactly as it was.

Your files never leave your computer. Merging runs in your browser and nothing is uploaded.

How it works

1. Drop your TMX files

From any CAT tool, in any encoding. They're read in your browser.

2. Choose the options

Remove duplicates, keep the first or the most recent copy, and optionally keep only one language pair.

3. Download one TMX

One clean memory, with every unit's dates, users and properties intact.

Frequently asked questions

Is merging TMX files free?

Yes. No sign-up, no limits beyond 500 MB in total.

Are my memories uploaded?

No. Merging runs in your browser, so the files never reach our server.

Which header does the merged file use?

The first file's. Its source language should match the others; files that differ are listed so you can check them.

Can I merge memories in different encodings?

Yes. UTF-8, UTF-16 (Trados) and Windows-1252 files can be mixed; the merged file is UTF-8.
