Translation QA checker
Check numbers, tags, terminology, punctuation and consistency in XLIFF, SDLXLIFF, MQXLIFF, MQXLZ and TMX files.
Your files are checked in your browser and never uploaded.
How it works
1. Drop your bilingual files
XLIFF, SDLXLIFF, MQXLIFF, MQXLZ or TMX: one file, or several from the same project to check them together. Languages are read from the files, and you can correct them.
2. Choose your checks
Numbers read by locale (1,500 in es-ES reads as 1.5), tags, untranslated segments, your glossary and forbidden terms, consistency, and punctuation rules for Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and English.
3. Review, fix and re-check
Go through the findings with the problem highlighted in each segment, ignore false alarms and export the report to CSV or HTML. After fixing in your CAT tool, re-check the updated files to see what is fixed and what is new.
Frequently asked questions
Is the QA checker free?
Yes. No sign-up and no limit on checks, for files up to 200 MB each and 400 MB in total.
Are my files uploaded?
No. The check runs in your browser, so your files never reach our server. Your glossary, settings and ignored findings stay in your browser too.
Which file formats does it read?
XLIFF 1.2 and 2.0, SDLXLIFF (Trados), MQXLIFF and MQXLZ (memoQ), plus TMX.
How does it check numbers?
It reads each number the way the language and region of that side write it, so 1,500 in an English source and 1.500 in a Spanish target match, while 1,500 in a es-ES target is flagged because it reads as 1.5.
Can I check several files and check them again after fixing?
Yes. Drop several files with the same language pair and they are checked together, including consistency across files, with a filter per file. After fixing, use Re-check: files with the same name replace the loaded ones, the report shows what is fixed and what is new, and what you ignored stays ignored.
